Leo Eldridge Davison and Katherine Emily Trites

Leo Eldridge Davison, the son of Holmes Jonathan Davison and Katherine M. Sheridan, was born on Sunday, 24 August 1890 in Hanstport, Hants County, Nova Scotia. He immigrated on Tuesday, 21 October 1902 to Boston, Massachusetts and was naturalized on Tuesday, 26 September 1916 in Boston, Massachusetts. He died at the age of 78 in April 1969 in Sarasota, Florida. The cause of death was heart attack. He was buried in Beechwood cemetery, Centerville, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.

Leo Eldridge Davison (aged 34) married Katherine Emily Trites (aged 27) on Tuesday, 16 September 1924 in 19 Moultrie St., Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Katherine Emily Trites, the daughter of Heman Foster Trites and Katherine Heyer, was born on Sunday, 8 November 1896 in Boston, Massachusetts. She died at the age of 65 on Friday, 27 July 1962 in Falmouth, Massachusetts (locale uncertain). The cause of death was cancer. She was buried in Beechwood cemetery, Centerville, Massachusetts.

Leo and Katherine were married at the Trites home in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The witnesses to the marriage were Evelyn F. Trites and (uncle) Albert Richards.

We believe that Katherine Trites was Leo's second wife, and that his first wife left him before 1917. The Falmouth book lists his wife as Katherine Shehan. His naturalization papers (September 1916) list his wife as Alfreda M., age 23, born in Pasedena, California. After Katherine Trites died he married a woman named Joan (who is now Joan Parsons, having remarried after Leo's death). They honeymooned in Spain, and were living in Florida at the time of his death.

Ruth Davison worked at Harvard University from 1950 to 1959. For the first two years she was the assistant registrar at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She then worked for 7 years at the Harvard Business school. She then went to work for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (jokingly called "Unwrap Me") in Beirut, Lebanon. There she met Michael Wood who was a member of the U.N. peace keeping forces. They lived in London Ontario, Canada; Magnolia, Massachusetts; and Hamilton Massachusetts.
