The 1880 and 1900 censuses give different birth years for Annie Tangeman. The 1880 lists her as 24 years old, making her birth year 1855 or 1856. The 1900, which lists her as living with her brother-in-law Louis Risser, gives her birth as Jun 1853. We have no census information on Jenny (Tangeman) Barsler.

Both Louis Risser and William Tangeman were living in Talmage, Otoe County, Nebraska, in 1990. William, aged 48, was a hardware salesman, and had been married to his wife Eliza for 19 years. They had two chlidren:

William and Eliza owned their own home free and clear and had a boarder, Bruno Schotler, a 28 year old German Saloon Keeper. William's brother-in-law Louis Risser lived nearby and was also a saloon keeper, quite probably Bruno's employer.
